After YouTube announced it was blocking or removing all videos "alleging election fraud or wrongly rewriting the results of the presidential election," its team members' ties to the Chinese Communist Party were also exposed by the U.S. media. According to the report, at least four of YouTube's employees are Chinese software engineers with ties to the Communist Party's military and who pose a threat to U.S. national security.
According to a Dec. 10 report by The National Pulse, a conservative news publication, many of the software engineers at Google's YouTube video-sharing platform have worked at Chinese Communist Party institutions and have ties to the Communist government or the Chinese military. The report cited four examples.
The first is Tai Jinjiang, a Chinese-born software engineer. He has been working at YouTube since May 2019, after working as a project manager at Guangzhou Shian Information Technology Co.
Regarding his work for this company, Tai Jinjiang describes that he "played an important role in the successful military certification of Shian terminals by the Ministry of Public Security, the State Secrets Bureau, and the IT Evaluation Center." In other words, Tai Jin Jiang provides software support for the Communist Party's military as well as for a range of Communist Party government-led intelligence agencies. For its outstanding performance, Taijinjiang has also received several staff awards.
The second is Xiao Chen (小陈, phonetic), a Chinese-born software engineer for the YouTube platform. He has been involved with Google's infrastructure and working as a software engineer since July 2018, and joined the YouTube team in November 2020. Previously, Xiao Chen worked as a research assistant at Sun Yat-sen University, whose Supercomputing Center has also been on the U.S. government's list of entities posing a risk to U.S. national security since 2015.
The third Chinese software engineer is Xifei Huang (Huang, phonetic), who has been working at YouTube since February 2014. Previously, he worked as a developer at Beijing University. The university is funded and controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and its leadership includes former and current CCP party and political figures, with the leader being the former head of the Beijing branch of the CCP's spy agency. In addition, a Peking University researcher was investigated and later convicted by the FBI for stealing intellectual property and failing to disclose ties to the CCP.
A fourth Chinese software engineer, Fan Yang (楊帆, phonetic), has worked at YouTube since April 2017. He worked as a research assistant at Fudan University after interning at China Telecom, which has a Communist military background, during which five hackers from the university and with ties to the Communist military were indicted for stealing U.S. secrets. In addition, Fudan University recently cut "freedom of thought" from its curriculum at the behest of the Chinese Communist Party.
The report suggests that it was these unearthed connections that led YouTube to decide to ban all videos alleging election fraud and to try to direct content toward the Communist Party's preferred candidate, Joe Biden, to win. This likewise raises questions about the legitimacy of YouTube's practice of automatically removing Chinese videos critical of the CCP.
Just on Thursday (Dec. 10), a video by veteran CCP policy adviser and Renmin University professor Zhai Dongsheng exposing the CCP's infiltration of the powerful American inner circle was removed from YouTube for no apparent reason, and Ms. Zeng Zheng, an overseas human rights activist and writer who added English subtitles to the video, was threatened with death.
The video was retweeted by President Trump, as well as prominent lawyers Powell and Lin Wood, for exposing the core secrets of the Chinese Communist Party's infiltration in the United States and implicating "old friends" of the Communist Party in the U.S. power circle.
