The year 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and the CPC is quite frightened about the continuity of its regime. Last Friday, the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee held a collective study on "national security", which also conveyed the uneasiness within the CPC.
On December 11, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee held its 26th collective study, the first collective study on the theme of "national security" since the 19th National Congress. At the meeting, Xi emphasized the need to integrate national security into all aspects of the party and state's work, and drew a "bottom line" for social and economic development in 2021.
According to current affairs commentator Li Linyi, the focus of the meeting can be summarized as: "Putting political security in the first place".
Current affairs commentator Li Linyi: "This political security is its regime security, now talking about regime security, it means that they have been very panic in their hearts, think the regime may be unstable in the future, so they want to put political security, that is, regime security in the first place, that is, next year, political, economic, social development, all the bottom line. "
Along the lines of this meeting, there are three things worth paying attention to in the near future. First, the Politburo meeting made a rare reference to "preventing the disorderly expansion of capital," indicating that the Chinese Communist Party is uncomfortable with $516 billion in high-tech credit.
Current affairs commentator Li Linyi: "The CCP has recently been releasing signals about anti-monopoly, indicating that the CCP is very worried about the threat posed by financial Internet companies like Ma Yun to the CCP regime."
Second, Chen Xiaojiang, deputy secretary of the CCDI, was parachuted in to head the ethnic work, the first Han Chinese to head the State Ethnic Affairs Commission since 1954, replacing the Mongolian Bartel, ostensibly because of the anti-Chinese demonstrations in Inner Mongolia, but mainly because of concerns about ethnic minorities endangering regime security.
In addition, a border wall, the so-called "Great Wall of the South," has been erected along the Sino-Burmese border, said to prevent smuggling, mainly because of concerns about the uncontrollable epidemic and the problems caused by Burmese brides.
Li Linyi pointed out that the Chinese Communist Party is now afraid of the fall of the regime, and the tightening of political, economic and social aspects may lead to public discontent and economic inefficiency.
