After the riots at the U.S. Capitol, Democrats, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), blamed the incident on President Trump and drafted new articles of impeachment against him. A few days ago, Vice President Mike Pence officially replied to Pelosi in writing that he disagreed with the removal of President Trump.
At 8 p.m. on January 12, Vice President Mike Pence formally replied in writing to House Speaker and Democrat Nancy Pelosi's request to remove President Trump from office along the lines of the 25th Amendment.
Pence wrote: "Now, with only eight days left in the (Trump) presidency, you and the Democratic Caucus are asking the Cabinet and me to invoke the 25th Amendment. I do not believe that such an action is in the best interest of our country or in accordance with our Constitution."
Pence continued, "Last week, I did not yield to pressure to exercise my authority beyond my constitutional authority to determine the outcome of the election, and now I will not yield to the House's efforts to play political games at such a serious time in the life of our nation."
He concluded by saying that Democratic and Republican members of Congress avoid actions that would further divide and inflame the public mood of the moment and work together to cool the situation and "bring our country together."
(Pence's office)
The following is a translation of Pence's full statement.
Every American was shocked and saddened by last week's attack on the Capitol, and I thank you and other congressional leaders for your leadership in reconvening Congress that day and getting the people's business done. It was a moment that showed the American people that Congress can still be united when it needs to be united the most.
But now, with only eight days left in the presidency, you and the Democratic Caucus are asking the Cabinet and me to invoke the 25th Amendment. I do not believe that such an action is in the best interest of our country or our Constitution.
Last week, I did not yield to pressure to exercise my authority beyond my constitutional authority to determine the outcome of the election, and I will not yield now to the House's efforts to play political games at such a critical time in our nation's life.
As you well know, the 25th Amendment was designed to address the incapacity or inability of the President to act. Just a few months ago, when you introduced legislation to create a 25th Amendment committee, you said, "The fitness of the president for office must be determined by science and facts."
You said at the time that we must "be very respectful and not make judgments based on comments or actions that we don't like, but based on medical decisions." Madam Speaker, you are correct. Under our Constitution, the 25th Amendment is not a means of punishment or appropriation. Invoking the 25th Amendment in this manner would set a terrible precedent.
In the wake of last week's horrific events, our government's energies are focused on ensuring an orderly transition. The Bible says, "There is a time for everything, a time for everything under the sun ...... a time to heal and ...... a time to build up."
That time is now. In the wake of a global pandemic, millions of Americans in economic hardship, and the tragic events of January 6, now is the time for us to come together, now is the time to heal.
I urge you and every member of Congress to avoid actions that will further divide and inflame the public mood of the moment. As we prepare for the inauguration of President-elect Biden as the next president of the United States, let's work together to (cool the situation) and bring our country together.
I assure you that I will continue to do everything in my power to work in good faith with the incoming administration to ensure an orderly transition of power. May God help me."

Republicans accuse Democrats of dividing the country
On Jan. 6, people from across the United States gathered in Washington, D.C., for a rally, and in a speech to the gathering that afternoon, Trump reiterated that the election was fraudulent and that the results were stolen. At the same time, he wanted Pence to reject the electoral votes of some states where fraud was suspected. But Trump's speech did not include any encouragement for the people to use violence.
When Trump spoke at the rally and before he finished his speech (13:15 on the 6th), a group of people had already appeared near the Capitol building subsequently broke out into riots.
Following the riots in Congress, House Democrats drafted new articles of impeachment against the president on the 8th.
House Republicans accused Democrats of impeaching President Trump and only dividing the country.
Rep. Tom Reed (R-Texas) told The Hill, "I'm against impeachment. I think it's more important at this point to focus on healing and achieving a peaceful transition of power, as the president himself has indicated he will do. Impeachment will only anger those who believe this election was stolen, and it's time to move forward."
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) issued a statement on the 8th, calling for unity and a smooth transition of power. "Impeaching the president with only 12 days left in his term will only further divide our country."
McCarthy said he has reached out to Biden and plans to speak to him about how we must work together to unite the country and address the challenges facing America.
White House trade adviser Peter Navarro also said in an interview on Fox 8 that the events in Congress were tragic, but that they should not be blamed on Trump, and that all Trump has done is get to the bottom of the election fraud.
The WeloveTrump.com website recently published an article and video showing retired Lieutenant General Thomas McInerny (Thomas McInerny) talking about the reasons why Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi is eager to get Trump out of office.
He said someone took Pelosi's computer on Jan. 6. She was desperate. There were special task force members who went into Congress that day along with Antifa members. Now you know why Pelosi couldn't even wait 12 days to get Trump out of the White House. They were terrified. Because the agents already had the information and it was treason, high treason.
McInerney also mentioned that the Chinese Communist Party launched a biological weapons attack on the United States and the world to change the world, and launched cyber warfare against the United States through the "Hammer Scorecard" system to interfere with the election, and that the Democrats colluding with them is treason.
