On December 10, the U.S. State Department announced sanctions against 17 foreign officials for serious human rights violations, including Huang Yuanxiong, the chief of the Wucun Police Station of the Xiamen Public Security Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party, who persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. Outsiders are concerned that there are many officials from top to bottom of the Chinese Communist Party system who persecute Falun Gong, so why did the U.S. choose to sanction a grassroots police officer in Xiamen?

According to current affairs commentator Li Linyi, the U.S. move actually has the intention of shaking the tiger to the top officials of the CCP's political and legal system, Zhongnanhai, and even Xi Jinping. Not only does Xi Jinping himself have deep ties to Xiamen, but even Xi's close confidant Wang Xiaohong, the current executive vice minister of the Ministry of Public Security, and Lin Rui, another vice minister of the Ministry of Public Security, were both promoted from the position of Xiamen Public Security Bureau chief.

It is understood that during their tenure as Xiamen Public Security Bureau chiefs, both Wang Xiaohong and Lin Rui were placed on the tracking list by overseas tracking international organizations for persecuting Falun Gong.

Li Linyi said that Xiamen is a springboard for senior officials in the CCP's political and legal system, and even for Xi's promotion. The U.S. warning now directly targets the two vice ministers of the Ministry of Public Security. If the persecution of Falun Gong continues, higher-level CCP officials could be sanctioned at any time in the future.

Human Rights Day: Activists around the World Protest Communist Tyranny

On December 10, World Human Rights Day, human rights activists overseas held events to protest the tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party.

In Canada, four civil society groups staged a three-day hunger strike in front of the Ontario government from December 8 to 10, demanding that the Canadian government sanction the CCP, and another hunger strike in front of the Chinese Consulate on December 10, demanding an end to the CCP.

In Australia, several groups held a rally and march in Sydney's Martin Place to condemn the Chinese Communist Party's atrocities and to call on countries around the world to take action in solidarity with China's human rights struggle and join the fight to end the Communist Party.

In the United States, a group displayed a panel on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to expose the crimes of the Chinese Communist Party and to show solidarity with the protesters in Hong Kong.

U.S. Blocks China Telecom for Endangering National Security

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced on December 10 that it has initiated proceedings to revoke China Telecom's authorization to operate in the United States because of the risk that China Telecom will comply with Beijing's request to hand over information derived from intercepted communications, posing a threat to U.S. national security. At the same time, the FCC also rejected Huawei's complaint, reaffirming that it "threatens national security.

Dozens of Chinese companies were removed from major U.S. and European indices

On the same day, S&P Dow Jones Indices Inc. also announced that it would remove 21 Chinese companies with Communist Party military backgrounds from its global stock and bond indexes under a Trump administration order to prevent U.S. investors from buying their shares.

Dow Jones said it will take out the stocks of 10 Chinese companies, including Hikvision, SMIC and Sinosolar, before the stock market opens on Dec. 21, and the bonds issued by 11 more Chinese companies, from its fixed-income index before the market opens on Jan. 1 next year.

Last week, British index provider FTSE Russell already removed eight Chinese companies from its product range
