【中国观察2020年12月20日讯】从美东时间12月17号凌晨1点开始，美国国务院发出第一则推文，引述美国总统川普的讲话：美国是一个主权国家，我们的首要任务始终是确保公民安全。

随后第二条推文引述国务卿蓬佩奥（Mike Pompeo）9号在乔治亚理工大学发表的讲话视频。他说，美国和自由世界花了很长时间才明白中共的发展路线。事实上还没有完全明白。长期以来，美国政界、学术界和商界都认为，通过贸易和接触，中共会自我改革，会拥抱自由经济和政治，结果完全相反。

美国国务卿蓬佩奥：“中共利用由此创造的财富来加强对权力控制，加强对中国人民的控制，建立一个世界上从未见过的利用高科技进行压迫的国家。”

17号清晨6点的第三条推文继续分享蓬佩奥的观点：中共构成了真正的威胁。 美国希望中共能像美国要求的其它国家那样，参与国际事务。

8点多，国务院四度发推，说：中共对美国国家安全的威胁已扩展到金融市场，影响了美国投资者。了解一下股市资金如何支持参与军事生产和侵犯人权行为的中国公司。

民主中国阵线主席秦晋：“如果不是中国（中共）的病毒把他们弄醒了，整个世界还在昏昏沉沉。所以现在美国国务院出了这四条推文，对中共的认识，每条都认识的基本到位。”

截至18号凌晨2点，国务院继续连发数推，除了引述蓬佩奥讲话，指出美国需要持续唤醒跨大西洋国家对与中共挑战的认知，中共会尽一切所能来夺取美国拥有的东西，还提到了排除中共影响力的“干净网络”计划，以及美国一定会和伙伴国家站在一起，面对中共暴政挑衅等。

加拿大华裔作家盛雪表示，从九十年代初东欧共产政权垮台后，中共就已经是全世界最大的威胁。可惜很多民主国家没有看清。美国也浪费了很多时间，造成了两大恶果：给了中共壮大和深度渗透美国诸多领域的机会。

加拿大华裔作家盛雪：“现在美国国务院的这个态度很好，说明他们认识到中共的危害，以及中共对美国的威胁。如果美国不醒过来，不走在前面去对抗中共，那么其他的国家在这一点上，力量反而更小。”

美国国家情报总监拉特克利夫（John Ratcliffe），12月3号在《华尔街日报》刊文，也提到了中共是二战以来，对美国和世界民主自由的最大威胁。

目前他的团队正在准备外国干预美国大选的评估报告。

美国参议院情报委员会两党领袖4号发表联合声明，力挺拉特克利夫的观点，并警告，中共不会放弃追求主导世界的野心。

今年以来，蓬佩奥反复强调，中共是美国和自由世界的最大威胁。

他在1月31号与英国外交大臣拉布（Dominic Raab）讨论英美关系时，就直言中共是“这个时代最核心的威胁”。

10月9号，蓬佩奥在接受媒体采访时表示，美国已经组建对抗中共威胁的联盟。

盛雪：“反恐必须首先反专制。现在应该说正是在非常要紧的一个环节上。因为川普总统的第一任期，接任之后，他用了很多的时间要去对应对他怀有敌意的反对派，极左的势力以及建制派，包括媒体。所以他真正腾出手来能够去打击中共暴政以及国际恐怖主义，他实际上没有多少时间。”

民主中国阵线主席秦晋分析，对美国和全世界而言，时间已所剩不多。

秦晋：“这次美国的大选是一个分水岭。我能够感觉得到，美国的左派、媒体、高科技产业、高科技集团，以及所有世界上反对川普的力量和中共的合谋来改变这次大选。关键就是川普会不会现在采取霹雳手段来挽救美国。”

盛雪认为，如果川普能够连任，他对中共暴政所设布局，及带动全球围剿中共的格局，将一步步完善。反之则很难延续。

A few days ago, the U.S. State Department sent out a rare series of tweets, emphasizing that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is a real threat, from national sovereignty, academic freedom, and financial markets, and so on.


Starting at 1:00 a.m. EST on December 17, the State Department sent the first tweet, quoting President Trump's statement that the United States is a sovereign nation and our top priority is always to ensure the safety of our citizens.

A second tweet followed, quoting Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's speech at Georgia Tech on Dec. 9. He said it took a long time for the United States and the free world to understand the Communist Party's course of development. In fact, it hasn't been fully understood. For a long time, U.S. politics, academia and business believed that through trade and engagement, the CCP would reform itself and embrace liberal economics and politics; it turned out to be the exact opposite.

U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo: "The CCP has used the resulting wealth creation to strengthen its grip on power, to strengthen its grip on the Chinese people, to build a state that uses high technology to oppress as the world has never seen before."

A third tweet at 6 a.m. on the 17th continues to share Pompeo's view that the CCP poses a real threat. The U.S. wants the CCP to participate in international affairs like other countries the U.S. demands.

Just after 8 a.m., the State Department tweeted four times, saying: The Chinese Communist Party's threat to U.S. national security has extended to the financial markets, affecting U.S. investors. Qin Jin, president of the Democratic China Front: "The whole world would still be in a coma if the Chinese (CCP) virus hadn't woken them up. So now the U.S. State Department has come out with these four tweets, recognizing the Chinese Communist Party, and each one of them is basically spot on."

As of 2:00 a.m. on the 18th, the State Department continued to send out several tweets in a row, quoting Pompeo's speech, pointing out that the U.S. needs to continue to wake up transatlantic countries to the challenges with the CCP, and that the CCP will do everything it can to take what the U.S. has. It also mentioned the "clean network" plan to exclude the CCP's influence, and that the U.S. will definitely stand with its partner countries to face the CCP's tyranny provocation, etc.

Chinese Canadian writer Sheng Xue said that since the collapse of the communist regimes in Eastern Europe in the early 1990s, the Chinese Communist Party has been the biggest threat to the world. Unfortunately, many democratic countries did not see it clearly. The United States has also wasted a lot of time, resulting in two major evils: giving the Chinese Communist Party the opportunity to grow and deeply penetrate many areas in the United States.

Chinese Canadian writer Sheng Xue: "This attitude of the U.S. State Department now is very good, showing that they recognize the danger of the CCP and the threat it poses to the United States. If the U.S. doesn't wake up and get out in front to confront the CCP, then other countries will have even less power at this point instead."

John Ratcliffe, the U.S. Director of National Intelligence, in an article in the Wall Street Journal on December 3rd, also mentioned the CCP as the greatest threat to American and world democracy and freedom since World War II.

His team is currently preparing an assessment of foreign interference in the U.S. election.

The bipartisan leaders of the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee issued a joint statement on the 4th, strongly supporting Ratcliffe's views and warning that the Chinese Communist Party will not give up its ambition to pursue world domination.

So far this year, Pompeo has repeatedly emphasized that the CCP is the greatest threat to the United States and the free world.

On Jan. 31, when discussing U.K.-U.S. relations with Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, he said that the Chinese Communist Party is "the central threat of our time.

On October 9, Pompeo said in a media interview that the U.S. had formed a coalition to counter the Chinese Communist threat.

Sheng Xue: "Counter-terrorism must first be anti-authoritarian. Now I should say it's at a very critical juncture. Because President Trump's first term, after he took office, he spent a lot of time trying to deal with the opposition, the far-left forces and the establishment, including the media, who are hostile to him. So he doesn't really have much time to really free up his hands to be able to fight the tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party and international terrorism."

Qin Jin, president of the Democratic China Front, analyzed that time is running out for the United States and the world.

Qin Jin: "This election in the United States is a watershed moment. I can feel that the U.S. left, the media, the high-tech industry, the high-tech groups, and all the forces in the world that oppose Trump and the Chinese Communist Party are conspiring to change this election. The key is whether Trump will now take the thunderbolt to save America."

Sheng Xue believes that if Trump can be re-elected, the layout he has set up against the tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party and the pattern that drives the global siege of the CCP will be improved step by step. If not, it will be difficult to continue.
